Why We Built This Site
San Juan County has no single public database that combines every criminal record. The Sheriff's Office documents its incidents, the Adult Detention Center records a booking, and the Eleventh Judicial District Court keeps filed felony charges and outcomes. NMDPS maintains fingerprint-supported statewide arrest history, while NMCD tracks state incarceration and adult probation or parole. Municipal police and courts in Farmington, Bloomfield, and Aztec also hold local files. This site organizes the verified contacts, official search paths, published fees, and request steps so that each question starts with the actual custodian.
What You Will Find Here
- Agency contacts: verified locations and numbers for the Sheriff's Office, Adult Detention Center, and San Juan County courts
- Official check instructions: the notarized NMDPS subject-release route and authorized NMAPS fingerprint process
- Record access details: how to use New Mexico Case Lookup, county JustFOIA, and the correct police or court counter
- Focused record pages: help reading Criminal Court Cases, locating an arrest record, and using the state registry lawfully
- Expungement routing: current New Mexico court forms and the Eleventh Judicial District filing path
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, not part of San Juan County, the New Mexico Judiciary, NMDPS, NMCD, or any police agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We do not retrieve a person's official criminal history or conduct an agency check
- We cannot issue certified court records, police reports, jail files, or repository histories
- We cannot submit IPRA requests, expungement petitions, or other forms for a visitor
- We do not correct, seal, remove, or interpret a specific criminal record
- We cannot provide legal advice or promise that a published fee, hour, or contact has not changed
An official copy must come from the office that maintains it. That may be the Sheriff's Office, a police department, the correct court clerk, NMDPS, or NMCD.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are supplied by outside providers. Those providers control their services, prices, and results. A referral fee may be earned if a visitor follows one of those tools to a paid service, which helps support free access to this reference. San Juan County Criminal History does not set third-party charges and cannot control or certify third-party results. Official records should always be confirmed with the government office that created or holds them.
